About the Assessment

Developed by Dr. Kenneth W. Thomas and Dr. Ralph H. Kilmann, the TKI® Conflict Mode Instrument is one of the world's most widely used conflict management assessments.

The assessment identifies your preferred approaches to conflict across five conflict-handling modes: Competing, Collaborating, Compromising, Avoiding, and Accommodating.

By increasing awareness of your default conflict style, the TKI helps you develop greater flexibility and learn when different approaches may be more effective in different situations.

Step 1 - Choose your Development Assessment

Select the assessment that best matches your personal, career, leadership or well-being goals.


Step 2 - Complete your Purchase

After checkout, you will receive a welcome email with a link to book your first 30 min coaching session to set your goals.


Step 3: Coaching Session #1 (30 min) - Set Your Goals

Meet with a Leaders Today Senior Coach for a 30-minute Goal-Setting Session to clarify your objectives and ensure the assessment focuses on what matters most to you. At this stage you can change the assessment that you had initially selected, there's no extra cost.


Step 4 - Complete your Assessment

After your goal-setting meeting, you will receive a personalized assessment link and instructions. Most assessments take between 15 and 45 minutes to complete.

Step 5 - Explore your Assessment Outcomes

Once you've completed your assessment, you'll receive your personalized pre-debrief document and/or report to review before your next coaching session.

Step 6: Coaching Session #2 (60 min) - Turn Insight into Action

Meet with your coach for a 60-minute confidential coaching session to interpret your results, indentify key insights, and create a practical action plan for development.

Step 7 - Implement and Grow

Put your learning into practice and continue developing the skills, behaviours and mindsets that you support your long-term success.
